Now that I've got the new computer box, I've been spending way more time than usual on the webs. This has led me to this thought........Why in the hell is crap I read on the internet the only way I can be entertained by hip hop anymore?
Really. I've spent the last two days mostly reading stuff about music that was made 15 years ago, written by dudes as dorky as me. It's been fun as hell but it made me wonder why I can't find some actual music that gets me as revved up as I used to get. This is happening to me across the board with all kinds of music. I guess I'm just antsy because I don't want to think that it's all that boring.
Things that interest me come out on a regular basis but nothing has really made an impact. I think Ted Leo was the last one and that was a heavy duty find for me, but now I want some hip hop.

i know that feeling, i havent heard anything new in years that made me jump out of my seat and tell all my friends. the closest i got was some new stuff from flaming lips and elvis costello, both of which ive been listening to for over 10 years now.
scratch that, sharon jones and the dap kings is dope... the exception that makes the rule.
